NDC returned to Sydney this year and SSW TV was there alongside .NET Rocks! to catch all of the action with our Ask Me Anything! sessions.

As usual there were a host of top industry pros talking about various subjects related to software development. This year, SSW TV worked alongside .NET Rocks! to run an entire track of live interviews with some of those speakers after their sessions and talked about a number of topics.

In this AMA, SSW’s Liam Elliott, navigates the React Solar System with Ben Ilegbodu, from Eventbrite. Together they discuss Ben’s experiences at Eventbrite when they were building their own React Framework, and his thoughts on the world of React.

About the speakers

Mr React

Ben is a Christian, husband and father of 2 girls, with a dozen years of experience developing user interfaces for the Web. He currently is a Principal Frontend Engineer at Eventbrite on the Frontend Platform team, focused on improving their React-based design system and frontend infrastructure. Ben also enjoys playing basketball, DIY, watching movies, and tweeting (@benmvp) / blogging (benmvp.com) about his experiences with new web technologies.

Liam Elliott is a Senior Software Architect with SSW. He is a certified Professional Scrum Master with experience across the media, telecommunications, foreign exchange, and HR sectors.

With an initial focus on WPF and desktop applications, I have been in the .NET world for well over 12 years. Starting out in .NET 2.0, adopting the benefits of each new release and most recently moving into .NET Core. The introduction of rich Javascript frameworks opened my eyes to what can be achieved in the browser and these days I've transferred my UI development efforts into the web.
