NDC returned to Sydney this year and SSW TV was there alongside .NET Rocks! to catch all of the action with our Ask Me Anything! sessions.
As usual there were a host of top industry pros talking about various subjects related to software development. This year, SSW TV worked alongside .NET Rocks! to run and entire track of live interviews with some of those speakers after their sessions and talked about a number of topics.
In this AMA, SSW’s Brendan Richards talks with Mark Seemann, author of “Dependency Injection in .NET”, about dependency injection, unit testing, C# vs F#, property based testing, and how using F# is a better general-purpose language.
About the speakers
Mr Dependency Injection
Mark Seemann helps programmers make code easier to maintain. His professional interests include functional programming, object–oriented development, software architecture, as well as software development in general. Apart from writing a book about Dependency Injection he has also created several Pluralsight courses, and written numerous articles and blog posts about programming. Originally poised to become a rock star or (failing that) graphic novelist (in the European tradition) he one day found himself with insufficient talent for either, a master’s degree in Economics, and a desire for working with computers. He has been doing the latter intermittently since 1995. When not working with software or spending time with his family, Mark enjoys reading, listening to and playing music, as well as preparing or consuming gourmet food and wine.
Brendan is a Solution Architect at SSW Brisbane and has been delivering successful web projects across diverse platforms and technologies since 1999.
He currently spends most of his day coding for clients with occasional breaks to deliver training SSW FirebootCamp or speak at .Net User Groups and Hackdays.
A few of his favorite things include Linux, Open Source, .NET Core, Angular, ngrx and Elastic Search.
