He is a stickler for best practices and using industry standards to produce awesome, robust, and maintainable software. He was selected among 10 in the world to participate in Nokia’s FutureCapture hackathon in Sweden, developing cutting edge prototypes for the Nokia Lumia phones and won the Melbourne AppFest for his Image of The Day Windows Phone Application.

Alex Mackey is a Lead Full Stack Developer at Gooroo.io. He is an experienced development team lead, author & speaker with over 15 years’ experience specialising in web and .net technologies. Alex has also written two books: Introducing .net 4.0: With Visual Studio 2010 and Introducing .net 4.5 published by Apress and has spoken at a number of large conferences in the UK, Ireland and Australia including TechEd, Web Directions, Remix and Australian ALM. Additionally he has developed two courses for online training provider Pluralsight on the WebGL framework three.js and Microsoft Edge for Web Developers.
