Adam Cogan from SSW, asks Robert Tucker, a Senior Solution Architect at Shell, to describe his experience of migrating to SharePoint Online from SharePoint 2013. Robert covers all of the benefits, roadblocks and the logistics of completing a migration of this magnitude.

Adam Cogan is the Chief Architect at SSW, a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner specializing in custom .NET, SharePoint, Business Intelligence, and CRM solutions. At SSW, Adam has been developing custom solutions for businesses across a range of industries such as Government, engineering, banking, insurance and manufacturing since 1990 for clients such as Microsoft, Worley Parsons and Aurecon.
Robert Tucker has worked for over 30 years in IT. He joined Shell after jobs with Boeing, BP, Shell in Brunei, the European Commission and various Governments; and more recently four years with AGIP in the desert of Western Kazakhstan. After a number of roles (including helping put SharePoint into Shell for the first time) and a spot in the upstream business as a Senior Solution Architect, Robert is now back with Shell’s IT organisation with special responsibility for SharePoint architecture and all it encompasses across the group.
