What a Microsoft Expert thinks about JavaScript, ASP.NET and WebAssembly (2017 NDC Sydney)

Steve Sanderson, who has been working on web technologies at Microsoft since 2010, shares his opinion and the advantages and drawbacks of ASP.NET, JavaScript as well as WebAssembly.

He explains why you should use a particular software in a given situation and how to get the most out of each.

This video was recorded during 20017 NDC Sydney. As usual, there were a host of top industry pros talking about various subjects related to software development. SSW TV was there to run the ‘Ask Me Anything’ booth, where we grabbed some of those speakers after their sessions and talked about a number of topics.

Jason is a passionate solution architect with over 15 years professional experience, currently specialising in enterprise application development utilising ASP.NET MVC, Web API, SignalR, Entity Framework, AngularJS, TypeScript, and Bootstrap. Achieved Master of Information Technology in Software Architecture (2011) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer in Web Applications (2016).

Steve Sanderson is working as a developer for Microsoft in the team that brings you the ASP.NET technology stack, IIS, and other web things. Previously he developed .NET software as a contractor/consultant for clients in Bristol and beyond, plus wrote some books for Apress, such as Pro ASP.NET MVC Framework. From time to time, he speaks at user groups and conferences, and recently have been running a bunch of training courses on topics such as C#, SQL Server, and of course ASP.NET MVC.
